Creation Technologies Opens Additional Toronto Manufacturing Facility

New customers, growth of existing customers, help drive need for expansion

Toronto, Ont. | February 18, 2003

“During 2002 we brought seven new customers into our Mississauga facility. We needed a new facility where we could have the space and capacity to meet the specific customer requirements,” said Duncan Reed, General Manager of Toronto. “It is our dedication to flexibility and responsiveness to our customers’ needs that has enabled us to stay strong in the adverse market conditions during the past few years.”

The new facility, which is 46,000 square foot and employs 160 people, will manufacture products for up to 12 customers. The facility currently manufacturers products for 6 customers. One of these 6 customers is Markhambased Redline Communications Inc., an innovative provider of next-generation broadband fixed wireless equipment. The first circuit board assembly from the new facility, a Redline assembly, was completed and shipped on January 29, 2003.

“We are very excited to work with a local manufacturer that can meet all of our needs and requirements and allow us to successfully distribute our product,” said Thomas Hearne, Chief Financial Officer at Redline. “As we had never entered into volume production before, we looked to Creation to guide us through the process from start to finish, including final burn-in of product and direct shipment to our end customers.”

The Markham facility is Creation’s second in the greater Toronto area. The company also has a facility in Mississauga and two other facilities in B.C. Creation has forecasted 2003 revenues of $120 million representing growth of 28% over the 2002 calendar year. These growth projections will exceed the industry’s 7% revenue growth expectations (Technology Forecasters). Creation Technologies sees the majority of its revenue growth for 2003 coming from the Canadian market, although it continues its expansion into the U.S.
