The merger of Creation’s existing design engineers, who are located in Milwaukee, WI, with those of Quest will form Creation Technologies Design Services. This unit will employ approximately 30 design engineers and provide a full spectrum of services in optical/imaging, electrical, mechanical and software product development, project planning, verification, validation and prototyping services.
“We are delighted to be welcoming Quest into the Creation family,” said Arthur Tymos, President & CEO of Creation Technologies LP. “The Quest people and their capabilities will significantly enhance the design, product development and prototyping services we can offer to our current and future customers. We are particularly excited about Quest’s acknowledged experience in medical product design. This capability will provide a significant service offering to our growing medical customer base. We are extremely pleased to be able to acquire such a solid company as Quest Product Development and to be able to offer our customers these additional capabilities.”
Mark Stephenson, Chief Operating Officer of Quest Product Development, will lead the new Design Services unit. “Our integration into Creation is very exciting for us,” said Mark Stephenson. “I believe that the strong customer-focused model, Lean environment, technical expertise, innovation and superior value associated with both companies will result in an unbeatable combination of services for electronic OEMs. I am very impressed and excited to be joining the Creation family.”
Quest Technologies Group, a separate entity under the Quest Product Development Corp. umbrella that was not acquired by Creation Technologies, will continue under the direction of Mitch Houston and will focus on the development and incubation of new technologies, including the patented endoQuest and thermQuest platforms and the newly formed SurgiReal Products Inc.
