Creation Technologies Appoints Arthur Tymos as COO

U.S. push continues despite broken merger and industry strains

Vancouver BC | April 11, 2002

In joining Creation Technologies, Mr. Tymos brings more than 20 years of experience from a variety of executive leadership, general management, marketing, and finance roles with firms such as BC TEL and BC TELECOM. Most recently, he served as Vice President and Chief Information Officer for TELUS Corporation, and was an active member of Creation’s Board of Directors.

“Arthur brings a wealth of experience and vision to the table, and will play a key role in our continued success in Canada and the United States,” said Geoff Reed, President, Creation Technologies. “To meet our aggressive growth targets we’ll be investing significantly in the U.S. market – combining a targeted sales effort with a plan for strategic acquisitions. Arthur will be at the heart of this growth, and will be instrumental in taking Creation Technologies to the next level.”

With a track record of profitable growth in each of its 11 years in business, Creation Technologies now operates four manufacturing facilities in Canada. To continue to meet the high demand for its expertise in medium-volume, high-complexity contract electronics manufacturing, the company is looking to broaden its operations, and expand its customer base.

“Creation delivers the best service possible and provides a total manufacturing solution by becoming a true partner with its customers,” said Mr. Tymos. “I am impressed with Creation’s high-energy, entrepreneurial culture, and I’m delighted to be on board. I look forward to working with the entire Creation team to grow the business on both sides of the border, and build our reputation as the best high-complexity electronics manufacturer in the business.”
