Responding to growing needs, Creation has moved into a new manufacturing facility designed to meet the increased demand of existing and new customers for premier electronics design and manufacturing solutions. Located in the Jinton International Industrial Park in the Wujin District of Changzhou, the new building boasts over 75,000 square feet of flexible manufacturing space. The new facility officially opened on July 1st, 2012 and provides electronics manufacturing services to a broad set of customers, with a focus in growth markets such as Instrumentation, Medical Diagnostics, Communications, and Environment & Security.

“When the Changzhou operation first opened in 2005, its primary focus was to serve as low cost regional support for OEMs with higher-volume, lower-mix, high-labor content projects,” said President & Chief Executive Officer, Arthur Tymos. “Today, on the strength of Creation’s regional business unit model and Customer-Focused Teams, the Changzhou facility has evolved into a full-service Creation Business Unit. Our China operation offers ‘Right-Shore’ manufacturing for North American and European OEMs selling complex products into Asia, for multinational corporations with Asian Operations, and for Asian OEMs.”

“Throughout 2011 we have welcomed many new customers into our existing Changzhou facility and quadrupled our production. A larger facility was definitely required to meet growing demands. We are extremely excited with our new building as it will provide greatly improved capabilities. It will also enhance our ability to deploy our “Lean Thinking in Action” philosophy through improved product, materials and information flow for our Customer-Focused Teams,” said Douglas Besse, Regional Leader—Asia.

Creation Technologies Changzhou’s diverse product expertise includes Industrial Printers, Neonatal Medical Devices, Coin Counters, Networking & Communications, Power Distribution Products, Intelligent Motor Systems, Fluid Control Systems, Synchronous Motor Drives and Energy Optimization Controls. The business unit is Lean Six Sigma-focused, ISO 9001:2015-certified and will be receiving its ISO 13485:2016 certification in early 2013.

“We would like to thank the Wujin Industrial Zone and Hutang Town government for their support, as well as our valued customers, suppliers and contractors, and our dedicated Creation team members for helping us take this exciting next step in our future,” said Charles Ma, General Manager of Creation—Changzhou.

With the new Changzhou facility, Creation Technologies continues its global expansion and overall growth. In July the company celebrated the Grand Opening of its new 79,000 square foot San Jose facility—its second in California’s Bay Area. Creation has also completed an 18,000 square foot expansion in its Mississauga business unit, and an 11,000 square foot expansion in its Dallas business unit. In November 2011, Creation Technologies also significantly enhanced its Design Services offering with the acquisition of an industry leading design, product development and manufacturing group in Arvada, Colorado.
