The annual MEDTECH conference brings together New York State and the Northeast region’s top executives and senior leaders from the bioscience and medical technology sector. The conference focuses on sharing new ideas and innovative technologies that will elevate the region’s healthcare industry to new levels.

Creation Technologies President and CEO Bhawnesh Mathur joins leaders in the medical device and biosciences community on the Manufacturing Innovation panel, part of MEDTECH’s Strategy and Development conference track. Regulatory challenges, trends at the forefront of manufacturing and accelerated new product introduction will be among the topics that the panel, moderated by President of Buffalo Manufacturing Works Michael Ulbrich, will discuss and also features:

  • Denis Cormier, Ph.D., Earl W. Brinkman Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Rochester Institute of Technology
  • Steve Davis, President of Tapecon, Inc. and Protoscale, Inc.
  • Jobe Piemme, Chief Technology Officer of Praxis Technology

“I’m excited for some great discussion with technology leaders in New York State’s biotechnology and medical community,” said Mathur, who has 30 years of experience in the electronics industry and also serves as Chairman of IPC’s Government Relations Committee.

From Albany’s Tech Valley to Buffalo and beyond, innovation and commercialization of technology is core to economic growth in a region that is quickly becoming a national hub for medical innovation. Strategic partnerships and investment are essential for long-term success, and the MEDTECH conference presents a tremendous opportunity to identify solutions and growth opportunities.”

The Manufacturing Innovation panel discussion will be Thursday, October 15 from 2:50-3:50 p.m.

Constance Griffin, Business Development Director for Creation Technologies, sees innovation in New York’s medical device industry as a driver of improved patient safety and community revitalization.

“MedTech member companies are innovative and bringing new products to market,” said Griffin. “As a result, MedTech member companies are growing and creating new employment opportunities across the New York State and beyond, which is a good thing for everyone.”
