Congressman Sam Johnson Visits Leading Texas Electronics Company Creation Technologies

IPC and IPC-Member Company, Creation Technologies, Host Visit as Part of Ongoing Effort to Connect Electronics Industry with Policymakers

Vancouver, BC | August 27, 2015

During the Congressman’s visit, Johnson met with Creation Technologies’ Dallas General Manager, Scott Hitt, IPC’s Vice President of Government Relations, John Hasselmann, and the entire Creation–Dallas team to discuss challenges and opportunities for Congress to help spur job growth and economic development with the help of long-established leaders in innovation like Creation Technologies.

Hitt emphasized the contribution innovators like Creation Technologies are making to economic development in Collin County and Plano, as well as critical industry issues like those championed by IPC in its Global Policy Framework for 2015.

Creation Technologies is a North American success story, growing from $1M in 1991 to $500M in 2015, and has provided innovative solutions to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in Texas and the rest of North America for decades. Today, Creation’s Dallas manufacturing facility offers commercialization and supply chain solutions for complex electronic products from design to complex electro-mechanical fulfillment solutions. The ITAR‐registered facility also has a long history supporting OEMs in highly regulated markets such as Medical and Aerospace, Defense and Security.

“We appreciate the Congressman taking the time to visit Creation Technologies in Dallas,” said Hitt. “Texas has long been a hub for technological innovation in the USA, and Creation and our customers recognize the value that this country has to offer with its big thinking and solutions-oriented approach.

At the same time, Creation Technologies is unique in that our engineering and supply chain professionals in Dallas and around the world are focused on what’s truly best for our global customers, in some cases using our expertise in the USA as a gateway to expansion in international markets like Mexico and China where Creation has facilities and our customers have emerging markets. We see Texas as an economic leader, an innovator at the forefront of technological growth and collaboration.”
